Michael was a great friend who passed away on a Wedsenday in Florida on June 17, 2009 from a Heart Attack. He was my friend at the Diaylsis center as I am also a Hemodialysis patient too. He was on Dialysis for 14 years. All of us that are still at the center, including his caregivers, nurses will deeply miss Michael.
I had a dream about him not to attend this trip due to his health, and forwarned him not to go, but his love for New York was stronger, and perhaps he knew that this would be his last trip. We always did things together like music festivals, had coffee after our treatments, and even invited him over to my house for steak dinner. I truly miss him much, and honor to see him in a video. Thank You so much, we love you Michael all of us at Davita. He is a classic artist. King of Wiz!
His ashes are being brought up to New York this week. A friend from Georgia is driving down to Florida to bring his ashes to New York Subway as this is wishes he so desire. RIP Michael Martin.
I know Mike since 1979, and I will never forget him. We did a lot together, and I am so glad I got to see him 3 days before his passing… thanks to Metal Man Ed…
RIP IZZY… You will be missed… I have one of his last signed pieces too…
